Half a Lobster

This weekend, we had a Cookie Booth at the local Harley-Davidson dealership. (I know -- don't get me started about the incongruity of Girl Scout cookies and bikers...)

So, we stood out in the blazing sun for 3 hours. The day was supposed to be cool and overcast. It wasn't. It was bright and sunny, without a cloud in the sky. We had no shade. I manned the money box side of the booth during this time, and ended up with a killer sunburn on one side only. Aren't I just a lovely shade of hot pink? I even had to go to the school nurse today to see if she had some aloe gel or some Solarcaine, just to get me through the rest of the day. You know you've got a nice sunburn when you have to take off your necklace because it hurts too much.

Weeping. Our neighborhood Girl Scout brought the Samoas and didn't order our Thin Mints.

Sniff.

OUCH! KLEE!!! That looks very painful.

I'm so upset because I still haven't seen anyone selling girl scout cookies. Where are my girl scouts?!?!

Ow! That looks awful!

But I have to know, do bikers actually buy Girl Scout cookies?

Anne -- want me to express you a couple cases? :) (Seriously. I have approx. 20 cases of the danged things left.) I feel very worried when I owe about 10 grand to my local council for cookies.

HL -- It actually IS pretty painful. If you can see the nose, it's pretty lurid as well. So, the glasses slide down, and aggravate the nose, and every time I turn my neck, it hurts. PLease fade soon, lobster sunburn!

PS -- No. Apparently, bikers are not exactly flocking out to buy Girl Scout cookies. We only sold 52 boxes. That's a bad haul for 3 hours worth. In 3 hours last weekend, we sold 106 on one day (in the torrential rain, no less) and 155 the next day. So, no. They weren't buying them from us.

If I can't unload a significat amount at my next booth sale, I may be taking my campaign to the streets. If I show up on your doorsteps, will you all buy cookies? :)

Ouch! Cookies might make it feel better, I suggest eating a cookie with a cup of coffee.
