Grrrrrr.........

You know, I usually read jo(e)'s page, wondering what great stuff I'm going to read there. Whether it's her own reminiscences or anecdotes about her wonderful family, jo(e) always has something interesting to say. Except now - I'm not so fond of those kids of hers! Jo(e) mentioned that they were very into solving weffriddles, and I, like a dummy, had to go and get myself addicted to them!

Argh!

Jo(e), I'm so mad at your kids right now! (Especially because I'm stuck on level 11, and they probably breezed right through ALL of them!)

I even dreamed about weffriddles last night!

Grrr........

Haha. My kids drove me nuts with Weffriddles too.

When they'd get stuck on a level, they'd just obsess over it, driving everyone crazy until we came up with an answer. They refused to use the forums because they considered that cheating.

We only got as far as Level 9 last night. Commence the obsessing!

Damn, KLee. I didn't even get past level 1. I'm too stupid to be able to obsess. ;-)

Phantom, you want a hint for level nine?

Qne, if you figure out level 11, please smack me mightily with the cluestick!

Linda, I KNOW you can do this! For the very first level, you're in the dark, and you want to shed some light on the information! (hint, hint)

I did level 0ne to Eleven in about two hours. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out level one, and then 2 through 6 came very quickly. Somehow, I skipped 7 and 8, and went directly to 9. So, when I thought I had conquered number 11, it was actually the answer to 7. So, I had to backtrack a bit. Now, Im stuck, stuck, stuck on 11. ARGH!

Jo(e) -- sorry that I'm a cheater pants in the eyes of your kids, but the forums aren't answers, and most of the "hints" are as cryptic as the riddles themselves!

I went back after I read over here and figured it out right away. I was too tired the other night when I tried. Now I'm stuck on 12.

For Level 11, make sure you look over the entire page and use a trick that you've used before to solve. It's important to pay special attention to things that don't look exactly right.

I had to ask Mr. Blue, since we're doing it together, but he agrees that we would LOVE a hint to Level nine!

KLee said...

Okay, Phantom -- to solve level nine, you already HAVE the answer! It helps if you write down each previous step along the way as you solve. I'd pay attention to the last six or so pages....

Linda -- I know what I'm supposed to be doing to solve level 11, but when I try to employ previous tactics, I don't see anything. I mean, I see the *obvious* error, but I nothing changes when I throw a bit of light onto it, you know what I mean?

I am so hatin' on jo(e)'s kids right now....Sorry, jo(e)! :)

Many, many thanks. We've now lodged ourselves at level 14, and vowed to stop asking for hints. (We checked the forums for Level 12, and Mr. Blue was irritated immediately afterwards, as he was sure he would have thought of it himself eventually. Me, I would have gone on forever not getting it...)

Well, send me a clue for level 11!!!

Linda said...

KLee- Scroll down to the very bottom of the page. Find the text that doesn't look right, then read all of the text outloud very slowly...just as it's written, paying particular attention to what you say after "answer."

I'm up to level 19. A big hint is to make sure you write down all of your previous answers. You'll need them when you get ahead.

Linda said...

BTW, KLee, you don't need to turn on the light for level 11.

KLee said...

I had remembered the writing down all the answers thing, but those weren't leading me to a solution here.

I'm not getting it. Still, and I'm frustrated.

Linda said...

Do you see text at the very bottom of the page?

KLee said...

Yes, I see it, but I can't make any sense out of it within the context that you gave me....

Linda said...

Tell me what you see.

KLee said...

....the answer is'nt' down here.

Linda said...

Oh, shoot. I should have told you to pay attention to what comes after "the answer is".

KLee said...

You did earlier, and I've tried everything that I know. I'm too thick for this one! We might want to take this to email, so we don't spoil it for others.

Just e-mailed you.

Wow.....Son-monster loooooves riddles. I got on a website one time and there was, at least, 100 questions there. I tried to help him out but he said " No, mom! I'm pretty capable of doing this myself, thank you." I shrugged and went to my room. At least ten minutes later, Son-monster comes in saying.."...Can you help me mom...? I'm stuck on number 1." I shake my head and say "Your capable of doing it yourself,Son-monster. You said so yourself. Thank you." I wave him off abd he leaves pouting. In like two mintues I hear him sighing loudy so I'd hear. I come in and say, "Would you like some help?" He nods I say, "Next-time don't go all boy over me." We both laugh and we acctually go to the 30th question that night. Yay us!

Idiot, idiot, IDIOT!

I did the same thing over and over and over and over again. Just not observant enough. Today I got it. Just what I need. Another distraction!
