Aren't they lovely? The actuality is that both sides of the ankle are a little more Technicolor and lurid in real life. I was discussing the fact with CCW that bruises don't photograph all that well. These shots were taken Monday night, after the visit to the ortho specialist's office.

Oh, I'm so sorry. Last time I sprained my ankle, I think I had to walk to and from the emergency room, too--I ended up hopping and crawling until DH finally ended up just picking me up and carrying me. We didn't even think of a wheelchair--duh.
Yours looks and sounds worse than any ankle injuries I've had, and knowing how much just that hurt has me cringing and offering my fullest sympathies.
