Oh, To Be A Cat

You know, there are some days when I think it would be much easier to be a cat. After all, *they* don't look so stressed out, do they? Oh, to have no pressing demands on my time, and be able to laze on the porch....

These are our "extra kitties", Grady and Blackie. Needless to say, they don't get all worked up about much. We call this "flumping." They will stride up to us, and just flump down at our feet, expecting adoration and food. And, like the suckers we are, we provide lots of both.

I would love to be well cared for cat. They do whetever they want and we shower them with food and love.

Can I come flump on your porch? It's cold today; I need some sun.

I love to flump on my couch every afternoon!

I want to rub those bellies, too!

My husband has told me he thinks I'd make a great cat. I love sleeping, sunny spots, and belly rubs! And fish. And sleeping some more.

Yup, there's nothing quite so contented as a safe and happy cat.

Sounds good to me! Kittens don't often have allergies, do they?

PK- Yeah, we saw a few a the clinic where I worked. But if you were to get an adult cat at a shelter, well, they've made it that far without dying. They'd probably have fewer.

I have six, two at least earn their keep by mousing and insect swatting.
