The Return of the Puzzle Pirates!

In furtherance of my pirate obsession, on our recent trip to St. Augustine, I purchased this t-shirt. It's all part of my plan to rule the seas by kickin' butt and takin' names.

We had a great time in St. Augustine -- visiting the oldest wooden schoolhouse, the Castillo de San Marcos, the Fountain of Youth (where the world's most tame squirrels reside), and generally wandering around the historic district. We stayed at a pirate-themed Hostel (Hi, Conrad and Elaine!) which was a lot of fun.

It was a nice break for us. Plus, there were pirates, so we were happy all the way round!

Ha! If I DO move to your town you'll know it quickly-- I'm a fast white miinivan and I bought an "I (heart) Warthogs" bumper sticker while I was in Africa. Glad yoiu had a fun getaway too!

P-K -- the pirates WERE pretty fun, actually. It was nice to see a more accurate, historical side of piracy, nit the Disneyfied version. (Not that I mind the Disneyfied version all that much....)

CCW -- we did have a nice time. It was relaxing to get away for a long weekend. It's the first time in more than a decade that we've been able to afford two vacations, so it was unusual AND fun.

Anne -- I'll keep a lookout for you! (I'm the silver Honda Element with the Girl Scout magnet on the back.) I'll also be exceeding the speed limit, more than likely.
